The Continuing Adventures of Lari and Co.
I just logged on to this tripod account and decided to update my page for the first time in two and a half years (last update was in January of 1998). After creating the page, I felt my part in the matter of exposing "Lari" was over, and has been for the most part. However, over the last couple of years I periodically check the guestbook and stats just to see who has come by. The reason I am making this update is to inform anyone who might be interested that, even tho the page hasn't been changed ONE BIT in over two years, the stalker STILL continues to regularly come by this page and every once in a while will leave an idiotic message in the guestbook. I will not bother to take the time to make any screen captures, etc etc because frankly it isn't worth my time. Plenty of others have this proof of her strange and obsessive behaviour.

This page was created because there are some very well known idiots out there that are harassing innocent people. Although Susan of Stop Harassment Now has the info on how I was manipulated by these women, I wanted to post my own site with my own words regarding the incident. WHY? Because what they have done to me and other innocent people is outrageous and it really makes me angry. Do they not have a life? Do they thrive on hurting and angering people? That is what it must be....or this would have ended loooong ago. Since Lari began her harassment she has solicited and malipulated other individuals into believing her craziness. I know this to be true as I almost fell for her trap last summer. In the last two months, new individuals have popped up that have also been harassed by Lari and her "friends." How many more are out there that we don't know about?? Who knows...HOPEFULLY there aren't many.
I Will have to say that I have learned a valuable lesson by getting involved in this situation, however--
DON'T STICK YOUR DAMN NOSE WHERE IT DOESNT BELONG!!!! *LOL*
Update: Since the creation of this page several days ago, Lari has been coming to my page quite frequently, and also turned me in to Tripod because of so called "abuse" Hm...yes I DID have her first name and only HER first name within my page. I know that it is within my rights to keep my page as it is with her FIRST name still on it, but to please Tripod I have changed her name to "Lari." It does irk me that she would write Tripod accusing me of "abuse" but it doesn't surprise me at all. For her to consider her first name on my page "abusive" is a just another obvious admittance of guilt in my opinion.
The Story
During the summer of 1998 as I was surfing some big cahuna webpages, I came upon some interesting stories of stalking and harassment online (links can be found below). A woman who has a background site was harassing the two ladies who owned the Background Boutique. Furthermore, she was also harassing other individuals who she claimed were the same two ladies. It was very interesting reading on a boring hot summer night. I found my way to the Stalker's page, and after viewing the page I left a little note in her guestbook. The next morning I had an email from her in my inbox. "How did you find out about the situation?...etc" I thought to myself, "Wow, this woman is terribly upset about this....maybe the accusations ARE lies...." and I became a little suspicious, as the stalkers and myself corresponded. I told her I would do what I could to help her end the harassment, and she enthusiastically encouraged me to do so.(But DID warn me that I would be "harassed" as well) I asked them for proof, and they (the stalker and her friend) gave me information which could not in anyway be considered actual PROOF, but I figured I would have to make do with what information they could supply me. I gathered from our correspondences that yes, it WAS true that these women were not the most intelligent in the world (especially the stalker) *cough*, but maybe that is why it was so easy to make them look bad....hmmm....the women who ran the other sites were very intelligent and very thorough with their postings. And maybe that is why the stalkers were not able to support their own claims in a manner in which they would sound believable, honest, and um, not so stupid and crazy. The one thing these women did manage to convince me of was that the Background Boutique owners and the Stop Harassment Now owner were in fact one and the same person(s). So therefore, I thought I had a good lead in clearing up the situation for them. Oh silllllllyyy MEEE! *slapping forehead in embarassment*
*clearing throat* SOOO, I created a web site (at this address in fact) intending to expose the truth. It wasn't as easy a task as I thought it would be considering the "proof" that I had to work with. But DAMNED if I was convinced that SOMETHING was veeerrrry fishy about the situation. The stalkers continued to feed my head with outrageous information, and it did not take me very long at all to get somewhat skeptical of them. I was beginning to believe that all parties involved were a bunch of loonies and I was getting into the middle of it!
SO, I then decided to change the format of my page. I wanted to present each side more equally. But that was a task which never occured because I GOT OUT OF THE SITUATION before I was able to present B.B. and SHN's side. I had had enough of the stalker's lies and prompting. I knew they were waaaayyyy out there and it was a matter that was NOT worth getting more deeply involved with. I emailed Susan with my apologies and we started emailing back and forth. I ended up finding out what a wonderful and sincere woman she was. I came to realize why the situation had affected her enough to try to put an end to it by posting the SHN site. She wasn't crazy after all! Neither were the B.B. owners. She cleared up the confusion I had thinking they were the same individuals.
WHAT A FOOL I HAD BEEN!
In Conclusion
I am just thankful that I am not a stupid person and my eyes were opened to their foolishness so quickly. The thought of my being a part of their evil ways makes me shudder. One thing I don't regret however, is the fact that I have met some wonderful people thanks to my short involvement. I am here to do my part to help put a stop to the harassment. It has gone on long enough.
